Dare I ask, do we have anything in plan for this year, assuming we can actually travel interstate this year? Can we still use last years plan, or do we need to work out something new?

G'day gang,

The plan for 2021 is very much still Bairnsdale Victoria in October like last year only this year we're anticipating that it actually WILL go ahead (fingers crossed).

So stay tuned and details will be released as they come to hand.

I thought as much. I'll probably have to put my annual leave soon.

G'day gang, here's the latest Smiley

The 2021 Eureka Nationals will held on the 3rd weekend of October starting Friday night 15th through to Sunday 17th.

Base camp for the weekend will be in Sale Victoria with plenty of activities in and around the area planned for the whole weekend. Afro

Being Victoria in October there is always the chance of inclement weather so please remember to bring some warm clothing Whistle

Bookings will be happening online through trybooking.com once we've got the booking page fully sorted where it will be on a first in best dressed basis as expected.  First in best dressed could become exactly that if limited maximum numbers of people are imposed due to government Covid restrictions although by October we're hoping for the best of course but please keep it in mind.

Please note that full refunds will be available should another Covid outbreak stuff our plans up  Whistle

We have a Motel booked and raring to go with excellent facilities to suit our needs.  They have Queen rooms, Twin rooms, a limited number of Family rooms as well as Self Contained apartments and there's plenty of parking available for trailers too.

So stay tuned to this thread for further announcements including the trybooking.com page so you can book your spot for this fabulous weekend  Cool laugh Grin

G'day gang, bad news I'm afraid.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the 2021 Eureka Nationals because it has become impossible to organise or book anything with any certainty due to the latest wave of Covid-19 increases, lockdowns and border closures around the country.  Angry Sad Cry

That said, the Motel still has plenty of rooms available for the weekend of October 15, 16 and 17 and for those of us who have already had our annual leave approved we have decided to hold an impromptu Eureka Nationals on the off chance that some of us will still be allowed to get out and about by then. (fingers crossed)  Grin Cool

So here's the plan;
We stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites King Avenue 24-26 Princes Hwy Sale Victoria with daytime drives to a few of the local attractions stopping for some cool photo opportunities along the way and having the usual Saturday night shenanigans at a venue if we can or at the Motel followed by the AGM on Sunday morning via an online Zoom meeting so those who are unable to get there can still join in.

It will all have to be a pay-as-you-go affair since we can't presently book anything for certain and all this is assuming that any Covid restrictions on numbers and the like are all adhered to of course.

I'm sorry about this but under the current circumstances we don't really have much choice I'm afraid.  Sad

Feel free to contact me anytime if you'd like any further info please.  angel

Indeed sad news Paul, but I think most of us have been expecting this for a while now. As one who has totally enjoyed 13 of these meets I think that ( if we can believe the self professed experts ) the next time we can get together will be one hell of a show. Those who haven't been to a meet start looking forward to next year. Let me thank the committee for all the work they have done twice now and hope their hair grows back!!

Regards to all  Morris.

Hi Guys,
Just back from the couldhavebeennationals.
Very wet weekend in Sale.
Mid 20's attending but only 4 cars.
Great to catch everyone. Nearly all Vics though with one exception.
Thanks to Mark, Richard and Jacko for organising.
Too much port and top shelf.

Hi Cyco,
Long time between catch ups.
I thought it was up your way or a bit further.
My bad. I left Gipsland before the meeting as I had a long drive and work the next day.
I'm replacing the Mustang with a hybrid so that will be interesting to see if it can tow that far.
Perhaps the goat whisperer can shed light on the meet.
My project has been on the back burner for a while as I've been rebuilding my Chev V8.
