Look what I found in a shed
10 years locked away and now it's free
Got a little work to do
here is what I have found out so far
Original colour Orange Gel Coat
Factory Targa Roof
Regoed in S.A.
From web search on engine it is a Kent 1.6 litre ford motor

If you recognise any of the body mods please post something here
As I don't know when they were done

Regards

James

The spoiler looks to be from the HJ era of the Sandman Ute. I have also seen that spoiler on the Sandman Panelvan as well, but I believe it was mainly an option for the ute.

Hi again James, that sounds like an interesting little engine you have there. This may help decide exactly what you got...

 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Kent_engine

It's fairly thorough with configuration and some markings to help. Hope this helps,

Cheers Shane.

I have not really had any chance to get back to the car since getting it and clean it out to have a good look at it
You are more than welcome to have a squizz if you want just got to arrange a time
The car is down south currently near Christies Beach
Let me know or I will get more pics when I go next time

I think I'll take you up on that offer James, of course then I will need to change my username! I doubt it will be this month. I have to build a shed, fix a car and sell it and I have another thing on the go which will take up a whole week if it works out. Keeping that a secret for now from everyone but the wife but I'll pm you if your extra curious! Christie's is a fair way, are you there during the day because sometimes I go to McLaren vale for work and I could swing by, otherwise it would be more like late Feb or March. In the meantime some pics would be great but don't go out of your way.

Cheesy Cheesy     James there had better be some family pictures of the new arrival to the family over-draft at January 2013 dinner or their may be a rebellion.   Personally put me down for a rebellion I missed the last one.

Huh? Any-one have a cheap VW type 1 2 or 3 with S.A. plates ust a thought also have we and or all decided on this years fancy dress theme.

Grin Grin   After last years display you can only commend those two Gentlemen for having more ball's than the rest of us,   All the best good friends and James. Whistle Whistle

Hi D4, there's one on gumtree for $600. It's a rusty '74. Here's a link.

You might be able to convince one of the other members to check it out for you. I won't be down that way unless I get a chance to visit James' new pride and joy.

I'll be down that way today if a visit is possible? Wouldn't be until after lunch and only a quick stop.

Cheers

That's cool, we will postpone for a day with more time. I've got the daughter on my side at least, she keeps asking to see the picture of the red car. Now if only I could get the wife on board! One day James, one day. I was hoping to get a part in a movie being filmed here but it looks like it won't happen so the time I booked off work for that will now be spent doing shed building, car and house repairs, etc. So maybe in that time an opportunity might happen.

Cheers

Any progress on this James? Some more pics? I was hoping to visit about this time but progress on home jobs is slow. Plus my Subaru has probably done a water pump which on an ej22 means removing timing belt etc. There's no holiday in holidays anymore!
