The members of the  Akoonah Park Mens Shed, Berwick  are running a monthly CAR SHOW over the Spring and Summer Season. We are all about having a good time, promoting men’s health, plus  raising funds for The  Mens Shed which now has over  170 Members and is growing by  7 to 8 new members each month.
Several members of our Mens Shed own Vintage and  Classic Cars and we thought to meet our current and future needs,  we would have our own CAR SHOW in beautiful AKOONAH PARK in BERWICK - entry via Cardinia Street (Melways ref 111. H.10) on a regular basis.
Proceeds from the Show will help to  build a community room at our Shed so we can better cater for our members’ needs, their health and wellbeing  and to help our local  community in general. Akoonah Park Mens Shed is also a Sponsor to The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Our first event was on the 5th of September from 8.30am-1.30pm and we had about  60 cars  and also some classic bikes. We had fun discussing each other’s cars  and bikes . Also, many enjoyed the BBQ breakfast ,BBQ lunch  &  the raffle.
It was decided we would run these Car Shows  on or about  the first Saturday of each month from September to March 8.30-1.30pm  Entry Via Cardinia Street.
 The dates for our future Car Shows are :
•   Saturday 3rd of October
•   Saturday  7th of  November..
•   Saturday  5th of December. 
•   Saturday  2nd January.
•   Saturday  13th February.
•   Saturday 12th of March.
 
Myself  and the  committee would be very appreciative if you could advise  your members of our next upcoming Saturday event. All are welcome to come down have a great breakfast, have some fun, make new acquaintances, and enjoy lunch.
