Long way from Melbourne sorry. Up in Echuca.
I've been crook for a while so this one has taken a back seat.
Hope to finish it off when it gets a bit warmer.
Mostly happy with the project but there are things I'd like to do better.
Thanks
Peter

I'd like to see what you've got. My acquaintance tried to rebuild a similar car, but he gave it up. It needed so many new parts that it exceeded his expectations.

I've looked at a few slides - it looks amazing. Where are you located? I'm looking for a good mechanic in Melbourne. Maybe you could help me.

Exhaust n bits
Chrissy hols were way too busy to get much car stuff done so sorry for the slow post.
New pics here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ThhSRujTdtP8cD9i6
After going to my exhaust guy explaining that the car isn't mobile to bring it to him. He said have you every used donuts?
Pic 1 are all the pieces necessary to make an exhaust system. The round things are donuts. What an awesome idea. Cut an angle you want.
Pic2 and 3 are the exhaust coming together. A tedious job of cutting, placing, tack welding, removing and welding. 1 joint at a time.
Pic 4 is a virtually new muffler I had left over from another Eureka. So waste not - I had to make a sleeve for it though as the inlet was 3mm too small.
5 Finished. Although hard to see as it is all tucked up neatly on the motor.
6 was my rebuilt radiator which is now installed and piped. No leaks!
Test fitting the seats in 7.
As there is practically nowhere to tow or pull this car onto a trailer, pic 8 shows a tow arm and removable eye bolt I made.
This bolts onto the H beam and tucks under the front tub. The eye bolt can be screwed into a hole behind the number place.
I spoke earlier about using a mesh on the front of the ears. 8 is a finished product.
Pic 9 is the interior coming together.
Pic 10 is me finally working up the nerves to drill holes in the side of the car to fit the mirrors.

See ya
Peter

Here it is gang.  Smiley

The 2023 Purvis Eureka Car Club of Australia Nationals and A.G.M. will be held this year in
Camperdown VIC on Nov 3rd 4th & 5th. prior to the weekend of the Melbourne cup on Tues 7th Nov.

Bookings will be the same format as last year which was through "Trybooking".
As soon as I get costings worked out and caterers locked in you will be informed.
I have put "on hold" motel rooms in Camperdown for Fri, Sat & Sun nights.
Sat there will be a road trip to The Great Ocean Rd & 12 Apostles area and there is something planned for Sunday after the A.G.M.
At the same time there is an outdoor Sunday market adjacent to the A.G.M. venue. where the cars will be on display.

So watch this spot for more info.  Cool

Hi Everyone

We have had a fantastic response to our booking for the NATIONALS.
We have hit our limit with accommodation at the motel.

We are presently working hard behind the scenes to find some additional rooms at the Motel and or alternative accommodation close by.
Please be patient on this we will find some options.

Please be advised that closing dates for PECCA to assist with accommodation will be NEXT FRDAY the 16th @ 5.00 pm – after that date anyone booking events will have to find their own accommodation.

Please also be aware that FRIDAY 16th is closing date for shirts to be ordered also.

We will advise accommodation availability status as soon as we can.
In the short term if you are planning on coming, please contact Paul Patton 0418 307 973 as this will assist with how many more rooms we need as we go through the process

REEK on 2022

Best Regards

Mark Knowles
