As you already know it's in Bathurst  ;D ;D ;D ;D
And we finally have some info regarding this year's meet
The date's are Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of October 2013
same venue.

We have to confirm member number's attending a little earlier this time so you will be receiving your booking forms at the same time as your membership renewals so if you can get them back to us asap after that it would be very much appreciated by the committee, last year we had to ring around a lot of member's to get confirmation on attendance and this all cost's committee member's time and money so let's make sure we get it all done this time please.

We will not be booking for non member's under any circumstance's, if they choose to attend they can arrange for all their own accommodation and the club will not be responsible what so ever on cost's involved for them attending as the price's we get are for club member's only.

So get your holidays sorted so you can attend and we look forward to another great event happening in Bathurst.

As Highly intelligent members of this great club it is again time to put your PRIDE and let your inner secrets out for all to see and put everything on the line and attend this years National Meet in Bathurst Saturday Night Fancy Dress Dinner.

Trying with great difficulty to remain unbiased and having sufficiently recovered from last year's exposure to things only nightmares are made from.
Not to mention any names in case of being subjected to more of the same PAUL and RICHARD  ;D ;D ;D some people have no modesty and other things to boot.

The loose theme will be for this year ( I hope I have done my research right  ??? :roll: ???) is
Story Book / Fairy Tale / Television Characters.

Now lets see what you can come up with involving those idea's
From my research their are no Morph suits in those categories.

Stay tuned for more info as it comes to hand
Now get your minds working we will have prizes for the best costume or what ever you have in mind.

We are looking for the best picture from Bathurst 2012
This picture must show as many cars on the track and have a backdrop that shows that we where on the greatest race track on the planet.

So dig deep and give your photo's a good looking over and see what you can come up with
If you find one please send it to us so we can look at the possibility of it being on our special autographed auction bottle for 2013.

I must first apologise to you all in regard to the booking form you would have received regarding this years event.
I made a dreadful mistake and assume full responsibility for it.

Well when I say below as you all know Phil is the computer guru and he will post it under this post.
Can you all please download it, fill it in and slap it in the post ASAP.

There are two booking forms one for members and one for non members and I stuffed it up by telling the secretary to post it to you.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D  So happy I filled out the wrong accommodation form for the Bathurst meet, I have now been up-graded to what the Hotel calls a more peasant room with 24/7 running sewerage.
     Yes I now have a room with sewerage running down the bathroom wall from the President and Secretary's room's 24/7.
          Modern science what will they think of next really looking forward to the Bathurst meet.
              Who knows next year I may be able to afford a room with a window, see you all there.   whistle whistle whistle ;D ;D

So are the rooms only for two ? can you get two bedroom apartments one room for the kids? if so how much more $ are they.

As most would be aware, last year we suggested a "Swapmeet" it was not until the actual meet that it was realised that the response was so great.

Sounds good, I have a great heap of car parts to sell. The are all bolted together to form a good sound roadworthy car.
I am afraid the BluReka has to go as I can no longer work on it or get in or out easily. So please someone come along with lots of money
so I can take some from you. May be one of your mates at home wants it and you can buy it for them!!

I'll be leaving by 8:00am, but from my place, not Adelaide as such as I live some 65k north and will be cutting cross country to Gawler.

As you live so far south it might pay to check with Paul Tonkin as I presume he is heading to the border a back way from the southern suburbs.

I'm allowing about 3hrs to the border, then thinking about 90min to Mildura   -    lunch   -   and the about 3hrs to Hay

I am looking forward to Bathurst this year but do we know where we are actually staying? That would be useful information!

Had Rich, my fellow Mighty Morphin' Eureka Ranger O0 around today lending a hand sorting out several bugs, turned the timing light on the rotary which is now running a bit sweeter and a few other bits and pieces then after he went home nearly had another heart stopper. :o

A friend of Rhondas rang to say she was stuck in Melbourne and wouldn't be able to pick up her son from primary school before they close at 6:00pm so could we pick him up and mind him until she clears her way to getting back home a few hours later.  The young fella has been at me to take him for a spin every time he comes around so I thought I'd go pick him up in Dweeby and I'd get to take it for a test run at the same time.  His school is in Longwarry about 6 km from home along the back road and all was going well until the fire went out with about 1km left to go and 2 minutes to spare >:(

So I had to run/jog/Cliffy Shuffle/stagger/crawl/gasp :P the last km but it all turned out for the best even though the young bloke didn't get to go for a spin because the tilt tray driver let him play with the tilt tray remote controls while Dweeby was up there on it so he was rapt ;D

At least it's only a broken wire on the fuel pump I've got to fix tomorrow (as well as my jelly legs :-[ )

No plans made. I was going to go the same way we ended up going last year to get around the
SNOW :-) But this year it maybe the fire that stop us.
We are leaving my place I hope around 10:30, 11:00 am ish if you want to tagg along.
But all will depend on the fires I suppose.

Yeah, the fires up the top of the Central Coast today have been quite fierce. I understand some buildings have been lost up Katherine Hill Bay. Heard some fires had been sighted with fires 200 foot tall!! Out fireries certainly have had their work cut our for them.

I'll tag along. Where do you want to meet up?

As a heads up from those traveling to Bathurst from the south, there are bushfires near Tumut and Book Book, and 4 around Griffth. All are marked as being under control. It seems to leave a clear run between the two lots of fires (that's still some 300 klicks), along either the Newell Hwy (through Narrandera) or Olympic Hwy (through Wagga Wagga). The sheer bulk of the fires are along the coast line. Lithgow (the route I'd say Darren and myself would most likely have taken), lost upwards of 40 houses there. So we're most likely going to have to head on a long detour north to head south west to Bathurst, adding 2 hours onto our trip.

Hopefully most of you have already headed north and are past these fires.

well we made it home!
 had to change ANOTHER trailer tire about 100 k from home. ted is getting very good at roadside tire changes :). he has also got a'to do' list...buy 2 new tires for a start , change the location of the spare, fix the ferking fuel pump and change the lifters lol.this is good! keeps him in the shed for a while longer! :angel: :laugh:

Thanks to all the hard workers for another great meet! i enjoyed the drives (but not the roadside stops :()i'm very sorry that we didn't make it to Orange i would have enjoyed the gardens. it was also very nice to have some free time when i could curl up with a book and relax. i look forward to seeing everyone in Balina!

          Just like to say a massive thanks to James and all others that had a hand in organising the weekends events, I had a great time on Saturday night, dressing down to the bare minimum ( I don't know how people can have long hair it drove me crazy), Kim and I cant wait till next years Fancy dress, the Ideas are flowing very well. A big thanks to "Barsted" for the roof panels, just sitting them on top of the roof makes the car look heaps better and finally complete. All together an "AWSOME" event and weekend. Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou.

What a weekend!

Had a fantastic time and it's nice to see almost everyone getting into the spirit of the fancy dress, even though a couple of you recycled your morph suits. I would like to thank Richard for wearing boxers! LOL

We got Allan home safely despite poor April worrying about him not calling her due to his phone being out of battery charge, thanks to a shonky phone charger.

I was also glad everyone paid their dues, I was too tired to take anyone in the back room!  :P

Good question KJ, what does a caveman wear under his fluffy mini skirt?

Oh, I'm still hankering for a taste of Vonkje's gorgeous cookies too! They were delicious!
