Sorry Darran that should be 265 on the rear.

Had a few glitches over the past few months, but took it around the block yesterday and went well.
So took it out for a long run today, (about 140km round trip). BOY she moves and went very well.
No rattles or bangs and nothing fell off either. Grin

Ah well its back in the shed tomorrow for more tweeking.

60's or 50's x14 ?
i have 235/60/14 on 8" rim on the rear and 225/60/14 7" rims on the front i now have 2 more 8's so i'm thinking of putting the 235's on the front and 245's or larger on the rear that's if i can get some.if not i'll go with 235's all round.

Philinsa - Those wheels look awesome!  Nice meaty look.  Do you know what kind of offset those rear rims have (love how they are flush with the body work)?

redreek - what size rubber did you end up running with?  Any photos?

I've currently got 185 up front with 225 on the back (both on 14x8 rims) but plan on going to something a bit more manly Smiley

Do you know the widest we can go according to the "1.3 times the widest option available to that type back in it day"?  Does that apply to the rim or the rubber?  What if I wanted taller wheels?  I know it would change my final drive ratio (thus speedo but I'm going for a complete build so not an issue) but are there any other issues?  And why is it that Eureka's seem to have their tails in the air?  Would there be any adverse effects if I were to lower the rear end to clean it up a little?  Too many questions? Smiley

I'm trying to use this image as inspiration.  I know that there would be some serious tyre/fibreglass issues but it does look pretty cool.
