Hey, did anyone hear about Michael crashing in the last stage of the Classic this year and doing significant damage to the front of the car........?????

I hear (and this is second hand) there was a considerable amount of damage to the front end.....

Anyway, that's all I know.....

Sorry to hear of anyone bending their Eureka. I have two body tubs front halves which are cut off at the rear window. One is a white convetible with the windscreen frame glassed on them cut off again (older thick fibreglass) and the other is a brown ex Paul Nelson shell destined for a mid engined project (with thin fibreglass) Both are in NSW near Campbelltown and available for repair of front end damage, and are for sale for that purpose. Let me know if they could be of use and I will try to post photos. They were on the old MSN site but I can repost if I can work out how!

Hi
Was on holidays on the south coast of NSW having a heart starter for lunch my daughter yells out eureka eureka daddy looked over at the TV to see the crash it’s on film.(We should get  a copy)
Do not know the channel the TV didn’t work properly was around 11:30 am Saturday the 2nd of January 2010 (The year of the eureka).

He looks to have understeered off in to the Armco under brakes at 10-15kmph.
The fibreglass took the hit frame looked as if it would be ok
Damage is passenger’s side front crack through head light area looked to be an easy fix.

This was at mount lofty or something like that yeah?

I saw it on tv too, my god i nearly cried seeing it... Started cussing at the tv, im suprised the neighbours didn't come over cause the doors were all open. It wasn't a very hard knock, but it was enough to take a reasonable chunk out of the glass... POOR FELLA.

In any motor sport you must know the risks before going out there, and having an accident is high up there, but its still heart breaking to see!

Agro, your daughter is a good girl, you should be proud of her recognising such a beautiful car!!!

Here's the link (http://mms://wme.silverstoneevents.com/silverstoneevents.com/Day-3.asf). Please note, that it's streaming, so not that great for those on a slow connection. Including me on a slower ADSL connection.

may be because it was called the link.. :P

but perhaps because two competitors were killed in the event and all incidents were pulled from circulation.

on a brighter note the youtube video was a great capture for the day.. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I figure the link isn't working due to the way it's structured, or something. The link can be found on this page, you want the Day Three (http://www.classicadelaide.com.au/ca10/newsmedia_video09.html) video.

It's sad two competitors died during the event, but they knew the risks of racing.   :(

of course racing is a dangerous sport i am not denying that ... try surviving skydiving an almost being hit by a car on the way back to the airport.. i look both ways now when i cross the street  ;D
